Personal Profile
I consider myself to be an outgoing, enthusiastic person with strong organizational and communication skills. Comfortable working both as part of a team or under my own initiative. I am versatile in learning new tasks/skills quickly. I have a keen interest in Fashion and I am currently in the final year of a Fashion Marketing and Retailing Foundation Degree. From an early age I found it to be a very exciting subject with new material to continuously explore. It has always been my goal to pursue a career within the fashion industry.
During the course I had the opportunity to undertake a two week work placement, I decided to choose an area of styling and managed to get a placement with top TV stylist Pippa Rees. Throughout this time I was able to understand her different role’s including Marketing, Visual Merchandising and Stock Management. I felt this was an extremely valuable experience for me. Having initially gone straight into the work place after sixth form, I have enjoyed a variety of experiences including clerical and reception work. I have also worked in the retail sector where these experiences have taught me good organizational and communication skills.
Interests and Hobbies
Sewing – I often buy a garment and alter the size or style.
Travelling – In particular experiencing new cultures and meeting people.
Skiing – Which I take part in every year in France.
Music – I have achieved Grade 5 in Piano.
Promotions – For local events and club nights.
Modelling – Shoots with various photographers, Brands, Catalogue’s, Catwalk shows, Fashion Shows - I have attended the Birmingham Clothes Show for the past 4 years
